By paying a deposit and confirming your booking, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Lettering & Calligraphy Styles
DESIGNS BY BLAM LLC (Bed of Letters) offer various styles of lettering to choose from. Due to the nature of hand lettering, there may be variations in letterforms.

Deposits & Payment
A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your booking and cover planning, including samples, initial designs and materials to be purchased. The final balance is due upon completion, prior to delivery. The balance will be adjusted to reflect any additional costs, including additions and/or changes and shipping and packaging costs. For payment using a credit card, a 2.9% transaction fee will be added to the final invoice.

Refund Policy For Custom Work
Due to the handwritten quality of all our work, we do not offer refunds on any custom, handwritten orders. With hand lettering, it is common for there to be variances in the spacing, size and style of letters. Additionally, refunds will not be offered for minor errors in the context of the wording or spacing. Calligraphy is an art, and no two handwritten pieces can be identical. All sales are final and non-refundable.

Rush Fee
Any order requiring a short turnaround time will be subject to a rush fee of the total balance. The rush fee is determined based on the scope of the job, availability of materials and other commitments in that point in time.

Live Event & Brand Activation Calligraphy
A minimum of 3 hours is required for all live calligraphy events. A non-refundable 50% retainer is required to secure your event booking. Final payment is due at least 1-3 days prior to the event date. If the calligrapher is needed for additional time that surpasses 30 minutes, the client will be billed directly. Parking fees may be included in billing (if applicable).

Additional Paper Stock, Envelopes & Materials for Custom Work
Errors are inevitable with hand-written work! If you are providing the cards, envelopes or materials for calligraphy, please be sure to include 15% additional materials with your order to allow for any changes or errors. Calligraphy is a handmade art and errors can sometimes occur, such as ink splatters or the quality of paper stock surfaces. A sample of the material to be used may be required to ensure it is feasible to work with. This does not apply to large signage, such as mirrors or chalkboards.

Guest List, Addresses & Project Copy
Please provide your list of guest lists or copy exactly as you would like it written. This may include adding “Mr.” or “Mrs.” “Sir” “Madame” before their names. Please provide your list in a spreadsheet, in Excel or PDF format. Unfortunately, due to the editable nature of Google Docs or Sheets, this will not be accepted to ensure that the information has not changed. Please check that all etiquette, spelling, addresses and table numbers are correct before sending your list. Changes or additions should be submitted in a new document, as soon as possible, before the calligrapher begins.

Design Revision Fee
Client is entitled to a total of 3 mock drafts. Once client approves a mock, it is considered a finalized design. Any revisions or changes requested to the final design, prior to the start of work, is subject to a flat revision fee of $100.00.

Corrections for Custom Work
We always keep several sets of extra materials after the order is completed. Please review your order within 72 hours of receiving it back to ensure that there are no corrections to be made. Please email a complete list of corrections including the name and addresses of the guest to Bed of Letters within 72 hours of receiving the order, specifying which errors were on account of the calligrapher. Later additions or corrections on account of client error will be billed directly to the client. Corrections are typically completed and delivered or mailed within 3-5 business days. Only one round of additions and corrections will be accepted after delivery of completed project.

Pick Up & Delivery
If you are within a 20-mile radius from the calligrapher, we are happy to accommodate and meet you midway to bring your custom calligraphy goodies to you. This must be arranged in advance. Otherwise, all items are sent via USPS, FedEx, DHL or UPS depending on the flexibility of shipping dates. Packaging, Postage or courier costs will be added to the final invoice. Please be aware that DESIGNS BY BLAM LLC (Bed of Letters) is not responsible for any shipping issues, such as delayed shipping or lost packages. I will do my best to ensure that I inform you of any exceptions that may occur while in transit. Once your order is shipped, it is no longer DESIGNS BY BLAM LLC (Bed of Letter’s) responsibility.

DESIGNS BY BLAM LLC (Bed of Letters) reserves the right to use images of stationary and design created for clients on our website and social media platforms, unless specified prior by client. All designs and creations on our website and social media platforms are the sole property of DESIGNS BY BLAM LLC (Bed of Letters).
